To become a
Full Individual
Member of SUT, you must be any of the following:
be aged over 21 years
AND show a professional interest or experience in the field
of underwater technology; be a graduate of a recognised
university or hold a diploma from a recognised engineering
institution or a qualification of comparable status in a
relevant branch of science or technology; OR hold a post of
responsibility in the field of underwater technology for not
less than five years.
Associate membership
offers
all the benefits except voting rights, an annual report and a diary.
Applicants should:
be able to show an
active interest in the field of underwater technology or in
a field of engineering, industry, science teaching or
research, connected directly of indirectly with underwater
technology.
Student membership offers
the same benefits as Associate membership at a special rate. Applicants
should:
be aged over 17 years;
be intending to be engaged in the field of underwater
technology or in a field of engineering, industry, science
or teaching connected directly or indirectly with underwater
technology; AND be able to provide confirmation of
undergoing full-time education.
MEST Federation – 10%
discount
Individuals who are or become
members of both the SUT and IMarEST have the opportunity to join the
Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (MEST) Federation. Federate
members receive 10% discount on their annual SUT
and IMarEST membership fees. If you wish to join, do NOT fill out
the form below, and instead fill out the MEST Federation
Online Application.
Note: If you are a staff
member of a company/organisation that is is a Corporate Member of the
Society, you can already enjoy all the advertised discounted member
rates for meetings and publications.
