Benefits for Corporate Membership
The Society offers enhanced communication with other companies,
government, organisations and individuals working in the area of
underwater technology in specialist disciplines. You will enjoy the

regular evening meetings in London and Aberdeen,
courses, seminars and conferences on topical subjects for everyone,

Mailings are sent to between 6 and 15 members of your organisation,
depending on its size.
SUT Members' Directory in the Society's
Yearbook: lists both individual and corporate members for maximum
information access to other members.
An extensive programme of events
including conferences, seminars, evening meetings and forums for
discussion, technical visits, workshops and courses. These events
have broad international appeal and provide detailed professional
and technical treatment of their subjects. Many events are based in
Aberdeen and London for ease of access, while courses are held at
centres of excellence around the country. The programme is designed
to fulfil the requirements of a diverse membership. SUT courses can
also be run in-house for your company, tailored to suit your needs.
Significant discounts on: fees for SUT
conferences, seminars, evening meetings, and other events
co-sponsored by SUT; publications including more than 35 volumes of
conference proceedings and abstracts or collected papers from
seminars; advertising opportunities such as journal adverts and
inserts, wallet services and stands at SUT events.
Use of reference facilities and meeting
rooms at the Institute of Marine Engineers. The IMarEST's Marine
Information Centre is next to the SUT London office. Special rates
are available on room bookings through the City Conference Centre at
the IMarEST.
Free listing of your company in SUT
publicity material, a free Yearbook entry, and the opportunity to
publicise your company's latest products and services in SUT News.
Publicity for your company by sponsoring
evening meetings, seminars and SUT Annual Awards for achievement and
excellence in an area of underwater technology ocean science and
offshore engineering.
Membership
Subscription Rates Subscription rates for Corporate membership of SUT are defined
according to the size of the organisation and the number of technical,
scientific and managerial staff with an involvement in underwater
technology, ocean science and offshore engineering. The category
appropriate to any Corporate Member organisation is agreed by discussion
between the Society and the organisation, after proposing a category
selected from the list below. Current subscription rates can be obtained
from the SUT Head Office (see below).
Terms of
Participation in SUT Only named members will receive SUT mailing literature, but there is
no limit to the numbers of staff who can enjoy the corporate benefits of
discount and participation in SUT activities. However, only one SUT
Representative is the main point of contact for membership
administration purposes and only this representative may vote on behalf
of the member company.

Who are the Corporate Members More than 120 industrial and commercial organisations, research
establishments, government departments and academic institutions reflect
their interest in underwater technology, ocean science and engineering
by becoming Corporate Members of the Society.
The SUT offers communication and specialist information focused on
events, publications and special interest groups. A Corporate
organisation can involve its key employees in any of these activities
and enjoy all the benefits.
